which dates back to the times when carters transported heavy freight wagons from Vienna to Trieste and back.

The thatched home stood at the intersection of what was then Dunajska and Avguštinska Streets, where, despite the many changes of owners and tenants, it always proved to be a place of meetings and joy. The official story of the inn begins in 1776, when the house was rented by an innkeeper….

Today, Šestica combines a rich tradition

where visitors not only enjoy excellent food,
but they also immerse themselves in history,
which this space carries.

Where does the name Šestica come from?

The name "Šestica" comes from its historical house number, which remained 6, while streets were often renamed. When streets in Ljubljana were given new names years ago, Šestica retained its identity with the new house number 40.
